2017 Nomination application and process

 NAPFTDS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

NOTICE OF ELECTION - 2017

All submissions must be received no later than December 31, 2016.

  The National Association of Publicly Funded Truck Driving Schools (NAPFTDS) is giving formal notice to all members that NAPFTDS will hold elections for its Board of Directors at its 2017 annual convention. The convention will be held at the Sirata Beach Resort, St Pete Beach, Florida.

NAPFTDS Board of Directors serve for a term of three (3) years. The terms of Board members are staggered. Vice President serves for a term of two (2) years then serves for two (2) years as President.  Secretary and Treasurer serve for a term of three (3) years.

   In 2017, terms of two Full Member Directors will expire (Mark Brown, Central Tech and Len Mash, Des Moines Area Community College).  The terms of three Executive Directors (Vice President, Mark Huss will move to the Presidency leaving the VP position open; Treasurer, Tina Frindt and Secretary, Mary Beth McCollum). These five positions are voted on by the Membership as a whole (Full and Associate members only).

   The terms of two Associate Board Members will expire (Latasha Mack, U.S. Xpress and Betty Weiland, J.J. Keller & Associates) of which the term is three (3) years and are voted on by the Board of Directors.

   New or re-elected Directors who are elected at this convention will take office at the second board meeting of this convention. 

   The NAPFTDS Convention/Nominating Committee is responsible for collecting recommendations for candidates.  The Directors are elected by vote at the annual convention.  Voting members must be in good standing, have been a member a minimum one year and all candidate’s membership dues must be current.
